Sid Balatan also clarified, ” Soledad Duterte was offered to be the Mayor of Davao City after EDSA 1 by President Cory Aquino but she declined the offer.

Instead she offered his son to be the OIC Mayor. Thus PDUT became the Mayor of Davao City for 22 years.

That’s how PDUT became Mayor of Davao for 23 years.”Balatsan recounted.
