Los Angeles—“DHS Process delayed is justice denied.

JFAV National Coordinator Arturo P. Garcia stressed this fact after the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a press release saying, “ the veterans and their relatives have to wait for the guidelines on the Presidential Executive Order “Modernizing and Streamlining The US Visa System of 2015″issued last July 15, 2015. “

Garcia said, “We cannot understand what is the cause of the delay. It has been more than four months since the President signed the executive order, why is it until now, the guidelines is still not out?’

Prolonging the Agony

The Obama Executive Order gave the Filipino Veterans a parole to petition their relatives.

The Executive order gives the elderly Filipino WWII Veterans and expedited process to petition their relatives thru the parole system.

Garcia laments ,” that its has been four months and yet the DHS has not issued the guidelines that all in the FilAm community is waiting. The veterans have waited for so long. Why prolong their agony of waiting?” ”

The DHS should know that process delayed, is justice denied to elderly Filipino World War II veterans.” Garcia stressed during the KAPIHAN sa KAPISTAHAN, October 10, 2015
